You will likely need to make several adjustments to your dentures as your mouth adjusts to the appliance, as well as have occasional maintenance performed to keep the appliance in the best condition possible. Some of the denture maintenance we may perform includes denture relines, denture rebasing, and denture repairs.Denture Relines
Your gum tissues will change over time, causing your denture to become loose. To ensure that your dentures remain secure in your mouth and functioning properly, you should have your dentures professionally relined every 1-2 years.
There are several types of denture relines which our dentists may perform:
Denture rebasing is recommended when the teeth of your appliance are in good condition but the base material is worn out. Our dentists will replace the entire base of your denture without replacing the teeth. Denture rebasing may be recommended when your denture is broken, damaged, or weakened, or when you are replacing an immediate denture.Denture Repairs
