Meet Dr. Ali Maddahi

Dr. Maddahi didn't take the usual path into dentistry. As a microbiologist teaching dental hygienists, he became fascinated by the bacteria that cause oral disease. That curiosity never left. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University, he completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Harvard Medical School. With over 35 years of clinical experience, he founded Orris Dental in 2010.

Today, he evaluates the evidence behind every technique before adopting it, and he uses his understanding of oral microbiology to diagnose and treat problems at their source. His patients describe him as gentle, skilled, and thorough, a dentist who explains everything and never rushes.

Our Services

Orris Dental provides general and family dentistry beginning with a child’s first tooth and continuing through adulthood. 

We also offer services that many general practices don't: treatment for TMJ and jaw pain, oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea, dental implants, Healthy Start orthodontic treatment for children, and advanced periodontal diagnosis with PerioPath testing.

Orris Dental is on Route 30 (Cochituate Road) in Framingham, next to Raising Cane's and across from ConvenientMD. We serve patients from Framingham, Natick, Sudbury, Wayland, Ashland, Marlborough, Southborough, Westborough, Hopkinton, Wellesley, and throughout the MetroWest area.
